Christmastime is for remembering the amazing blessings our LORD has so generously lavished on us – family and friends, food, roofs over our heads, but most especially the gift of His Son. It has become tradition to purpose Christmas as a time to share our blessings with those around us, especially those whose needs are great. As a JEMfriend, we know you recognize the needs of the youth aging out of foster care across the Treasure Valley.
Here are some ways you can share your blessings in your everyday life. Fred Meyers Rewards program allows members to link their accounts to nonprofits like JEMfriends by forwarding your rewards to JEMfriends through Community Rewards. Search for us by name or with our id number: 91501. If you have already linked your account, please take the time to relink your account. As Fred Meyers reset their system, your account may need to be relinked. For more information on relinking your rewards points or to create an account, visit www.fredmeyer.com/communityrewards.
For those wanting to avoid the crowds in the stores, Amazon will help you to raise funds for JEMfriends simply by making your Amazon purchases in AmazonSmile mode. Every purchase of over tens of millions of eligible products will result in a donation to JEMfriends. Simply visit smile.amazon.com, select JEMfriends, Inc. as your nonprofit of choice, and your purchases will contribute to JEMfriends all year round!
Now with two homes, for young men and women, housing sponsorship is greater need than ever. If you would like to participate in a monthly donation towards supporting our JEM houses, you have two options: 1) fill out the card you received along with this newsletter and send it to our office, or 2) you can visit our website’s Donations page and click the link Donate Now! to make a donation online, just be sure to specify “For Housing “in the Notes section.
While funding our programs is a huge blessing for our youth, there is an even greater blessing you can give this Christmas season and that is your prayers − for our programs, volunteers and staff, but most of all for the youth. Thank you for your ongoing support!
